Ravenseat Farm Front Door

I was commissioned to make a bespoke oak door for a remote, yet famous Farmhouse situated in the scenic Yorkshire Dales.

The design of the door had to not only be attractive but sensitively constructed to compliment the heritage farmstead. The design required the door to be hardwearing and stable to withstand the wild and sometimes harsh Yorkshire elements.

This gothic inspired door comprises a small window which allows much wanted light into the porchway.

Quality traditional ironmongery has been used to respect the surrounding vernacular.

This solid oak door has a central hand shaped gothic arch housed within the door’s outer frame. Solid 32mm thick oak panels are grooved into the rails and stiles of the door providing stability and strength. Subtle chamfer mouldings run round all the inside edges of the door, this detail enhances the flowing lines of the door.
